Blackpool Grand Theatre is seeking new trustees for its Trust and Arts & Entertainments Boards to help govern these charities.
The theatre is a registered charity run by two voluntary boards: the Trust, which owns the Grade II* listed building, and Arts & Entertainment, which operates the arts, education and heritage business. Trustees are voluntary with full training given and out-of-pocket expenses covered.
Trustees serve for a term of four years and can then be re-elected for a further four, and several Trustees are now coming to the end of their service. Both the Trust and A & E boards meet four times a year and all members are also encouraged to attend events at the theatre. Both boards also come together annually for a joint strategic away day.
Blackpool Grand Theatre Chief Executive, Adam Knight, said, “serving as a Trustee of Blackpool Grand Theatre is a deeply fulfilling and engaging experience. The Grand is a cornerstone of the region, and joining us as a Trustee offers a meaningful way to give back to the community, the arts and an industry that we firmly believe has the power to change lives.."
