Next month, the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival will be in full swing.
The nature of fringe theatre means that most shows will be brand new. However, there is one show making a return visit to the region.
Author Ruth Berkoff acknowledges not being able to stop fiddling with her one-woman play The Beauty of Being Herd, which sets out a unique and highly entertaining way of responding to the pressure to fit in. As a result, the slightly improved version returns to the city where it was last staged in January.
The GM Fringe runs from 1 to 31 July 2024 at various venues. The Beauty of Being Herd is at the Cockatoo Club, 20 Richmond Street, Manchester, M1 3ND at 7PM on 16 and 17 July and tickets for all fringe shows are now on sale.
