Julie Hesmondhalgh and Bryony Shanahan feature in Vignettes at Contact in Manchester this October, an evening of six new short plays, written in collaboration with Greater Manchester Rape Crisis, in honour of their 45th anniversary.
It’s the fifth showcase of local female playwrights and sees six write short pieces that celebrate this vital service. Debbie Oates, Maz Hedgehog, Lindsay Williams, Alex Keelan, Lekhani Chirwa and Zoe Iqbal and are joined by directors including Bryony Shanahan, joint artistic director at the Royal Exchange, Manchester.
Julie Hesmondhalgh will perform in Lifelines by Coronation Street writer Debbie Oates.
