Ian Good will return to Worcester Repertory Company as director of and Dame Dotty in Jack and the Beanstalk—his 48th panto.

It is more than a decade since Worcester REP last performed Jack and the Beanstalk on the Swan Theatre stage. The company is hoping to make it an even bigger success than 2022’s record-breaking Cinderella which was watched by more than 17,500 people.

Nathan Blythe, who played Buttons in Cinderella, will be Silly Billy in Jack and the Beanstalk. James Hastings will play Jack, Aimée Cupper will be Jack’s best friend Jill, Terrelle Kay takes the role of the magical Fairy Stringbean and Darryn Watkins will be the Giant’s henchman Fleshcreep.

Good said, “I’m thrilled to be back with the Worcester REP team once again for what promises to be a giant of a pantomime. After the brilliant success of last year’s Cinderella, I’m excited to build on this and make this year’s panto better than ever.”

Jack and The Beanstalk will run at the Swan Theatre, Worcester from Monday 4 December until Sunday 7 January.
