Rock Follies

The full company has been announced for Rock Follies, which premières at Chichester's Minerva Theatre from 24 July to 26 August 2023.

Based on the TV series written by Howard Schulman, with a book by Chloë Moss and songs by Howard Schulman and Andy Mackay, this new musical is "a riotous rollercoaster of woman power."

Carly Bawden, Angela Marie Hurst and Aiai Strallen play the central roles and are joined by Stephenson Ardern-Sodje, Samuel Barnett, Bella Brown, Tamsin Carroll, Collette Guitart, Fred Haig, Peter Houston, Matthew Malthouse, Antoine Murray-Straughan, Philippa Stefani, Sebastien Torkia and Harriet Watson.

it is the 1970s, and feminism is on the rise. Fed up with the male-dominated entertainment industry, Anna, Dee and Q take the future into their own hands and form a rock band, ironically named Little Ladies. Can principles and ambition co-exist? And can their friendship survive in the dog-eat-dog world of rock?

Dominic Cooke directs, with musical arrangement by Nigel Lilley, choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Vicki Mortimer, costume by Kinnetia Isidore, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Ian Dickinson and musical direction and co-orchestration by Toby Higgins.
