The QuietManDave Prize celebrates short-form writing and offers cash awards for Flash Fiction and Flash Non-Fiction as well as runner-up prizes.
Both are open internationally to writers aged 16 or over—particularly new writers. Sponsored entry is available for those who might not otherwise be able to participate.
Dave Murray entertained and informed many through his blog and was a keen theatre critic and member of the Manchester Theatre Awards panel, as well as performing poetry at open mic sessions. The prize, named in his memory, has been supported through the generosity of his family and friends.
