The Octagon in Bolton has launched a major new community programme.

Sharing Stories will be delivered with partners across the borough to support more young people in gaining access to the arts.

The theatre aims to work with hundreds of families every year to co-design storytelling, creative and literacy-based activities that draw on the strengths and experiences of people in Bolton’s communities.

Sharing Stories will encourage people to access and take part in the arts to unlock their power and potential. The theatre is now recruiting a new role to run the programme and begin consultation with families, schools and partners.
