The Full Monty comes to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle from Monday to Saturday while from Thursday to Saturday at various times throughout the day it's the turn of Dinosaur Zoo (for age 3+).

At Northern Stage this week, there are three shows for young theatregoers: on Tuesday and Wednesday it's the turn of The Bounce, a multi-sensory show created for young people from 3–19 who are defined as having Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities or who are on the Autism Spectrum; then from Tuesday to Thursday it's the turn of Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play and on Thursday evening Young People's First in 3 showcases new theatre by 15- to 25-year-olds. For adults from Thursday to Saturday, Greyscale and Dundee Rep Ensemble in association with Stellar Quines and Northern Stage present The Gamblers, an all-female adaptation of Gogol's comedy.

The Paper Birds' Blind is at Live Theatre on Monday and Tuesday and on Frioday and Saturday Root Theatre presents Bird.

Pete Peverley's The Bobby Thompson Story is at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre on Thursday.

The Lion King continues at Sunderland Empire until Saturday.

Collector of Tears comes to Arts Centre Washington on Thursday.

Children's show Wendy the Witch and the Haunted Mansion is at the Customs House in South Shields at 4PM from Wednesday to Friday and on Thursday Tangram Theatre Company presents Albert Einstein: Relatively Speaking. The junior edition is at 2:30 and the adult version at 7:45.

Alan Ayckbourn's Haunting Julia comes to Alnwick Playhouse on Friday and Saturday.

Andy and Mike’s Tick Tock Time Machine is at The Maltings in Berwick on Thursday at 1PM, followed on Friday at 7:30 by Tales from the Shadows: The Gothic Horror Stories of Edgar Allan Poe.

Ballet Cymru brings Beauty and the Beast to the Queen's Hall, Hexham, on Wednesday.

Stones in His Pockets is at the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Tuesday.

On Friday and Saturday Dirty Dusting is at the Phoenix Theatre in Blyth.

Lotty's War is at the Billingham Forum from Tuesday to Saturday.

Andy and Mike’s Tick Tock Time Machine comes to Middlesbrough Theatre on Tuesday.

At ARC Stockton Tell Tale Hearts presents Inside Out (for ages 2 to 6) on Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30 and 2:30, and on Saturday Theatre Hullabaloo revives Angel (for ages 10+).

At the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Thursday Dyad Productions presents one-woman show Female Gothic and on Friday UK Touring Theatre presents A Doll's House.

On Monday, Simon Callow stars in The Man Jesus at Harrogate Theatre. On Tuesday in the Harrogate Royal Hall Moscow Ballet—la Classique performs The Sleeping Beauty. There are two opera performances in the theatre's main house this week: on Friday English Touring Opera performs Handel's Ottone and on Saturday Haydn's Life on the Moon (Il Mondo Della Luna). In the studio on Wednesday, Tom Adams performs Still Score and on Thursday Michael Sabbaton performs H P Lovecraft's The Temple.
