At Newcastle's Theatre Royal this week Northern Ballet presents Cinderella from Tuesday to Saturday, together with two performances of children's ballet Three Little Pigs on Friday at 11:30AM and 1:30PM. On Saturday and Sunday, Zest Theatre presents Gatecrash in the Studio, aimed at age 14+ and part of the Juice Festival.

At Northern Stage on Tuesday Rowan McCabe's spoken word show North East Rising plays for one night only and on Tuesday and Wednesday Blue Boy Entertainment presents The Five & the Prophecy of Prana.

Good Timin' continues at Live Theatre until Saturday and in the Studio on Saturday, as part of the Juice Festival, it's Mixtape: 1s.

There are two shows at Dance City this week: on Monday it is Public Announcement, a first glimpse of works in progress by local choreographers, and on Saturday Compagnia T.P.O presents Bleu, part of the Juice Festival.

The Juice Festival continues at the Lit and Phil Library in Newcastle with Cautionary Tales from the Trenches from Saturday to 1 November (age 8+).

The north east première of Sarah Daniels's The Gut Girls runs in an abandoned warehouse (Warehouse 34) in Hoults Yard, Newcastle, from Tuesday to Friday.

The Lion King continues at Sunderland Empire until 1st November.

Théâtre Sans Frontières brings David Almond's Heaven Eyes to Arts Centre Washington on Thursday.

On Sunday The Paper Birds present Blind at the Bonded Warehouse, University of Sunderland Students Union.

Lucky Numbers continues in the Main House at the Customs House in South Shields until Saturday while dating comedy GSOH "Would Like to Meet" runs in the Studio from Wednesday to Saturday.

At Alnwick Playhouse on Friday NTC presents Notes from the Front, on Saturday it's Dirty Dusting and on Sunday Blackeyed Theatre Company performs Not About Heroes.

Not About Heroes is at The Maltings in Berwick on Saturday.

At the Queen's Hall in Hexham on Tuesday Théâtre Sans Frontières' Heaven Eyes is at 1:15 and 7PM, Haunting Julia is the the Green Room Studio on Wednesday and Thursday, Young Opera Venture presents The Magic Flute on Friday and Reform Theatre Company presents Bouncers on Saturday.

At Durham's Gala Theatre this week, there are three productions as part of the TakeOff Festival for children and young people: Handmade Tales (6+ years) on Wednesday at 13:00 and 18:30; The Secret Life of Suitcases (4+ years) on Friday at 10:30 and 13:00 and on Saturday at 11:30, 16:00; Hansel and Gretel (5+ years) on Saturday at 11:00 and 14:00.

On Wednesday and Thursday Peppa Pig's Big Splash comes to Billingham Forum (various times) and on Friday Dirty Dusting arrives.

The Shakespeare Schools Festival is at Middlesbrough Theatre from Monday to Wednesday, followed on Friday by Not About Heroes.

North East Rising is at ARC Stockton on Thursday and on Saturday at 11:30 and 2:30 as part of TakeOff Festival Fevered Sleep & Young Vic present Dusk, for children aged 4 to 7.

Riverbank Productions presents The Jungle Book at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Saturday at 2pm.

In the Harrogate Theatre Studio from Wednesday to Saturday, 6.12 presents a one-man version of Hamlet.
