Theatres to hold auditions for panto parts

Two West Midlands theatres are looking for youngsters to appear in their Christmas 2015 pantos.

Wolverhampton Grand is looking for four boys to appear in Peter Pan alongside The Chuckle Brothers and John Altman. Two roles are available, Wendy’s brothers Michael and John, and two boys will play each of the parts in rotation.

Boys must be no more than 4ft 6ins tall for Michael and no more than 4ft 8ins tall for John. Anyone who wants to audition should present a monologue, poem or rhyme and be prepared to read a short excerpt from the script.

Auditions will be held on stage at the Grand on Sunday 23 August at 11AM. To audition download an application form from the Grand Theatre web site and return it by post by Friday 14 August.

Peter Pan opens on Saturday 12 December and runs until Sunday 24 January 2016.

Lichfield Garrick needs 12 children aged between eight and 13 to appear in Jack and the Beanstalk which features Graham Cole as Hemlock.

Auditions will be held on Saturday 5 September from 10AM. To apply, download an application form from the Garrick’s web site and send it to [email protected] by Friday 22 August.

Jack and the Beanstalk runs at Lichfield Garrick from Thursday 3 December until Sunday 3 January 2016.
