As much of Wilton’s Music Hall is to be closed to the public due to building and restoration works to its historic structure, the venue has announced an eclectic programme of events called The Chrysalis Club.
Comprising gigs, screenings, classes and performances, the programme includes commissioned work Songs And Stories—Seven Decades Of The Electric Guitar, a film screening with a live piano accompaniment and Tuesday night Cinema Club film screenings of classic movies that have all made a significant contribution to modern cinema.
Managing and artistic director of Wilton’s Musical Hall Frances Mayhew said, "I'm hugely grateful and excited to be undertaking the final phase in securing Wilton's future.
"During this time, The Chrysalis Club's current programme will build the foundation blocks for not only a great organisation but a great cultural programme for the public, which will emerge with full flying colours, late next summer."
The Chrysalis Club will run from May to September 2015. For further information and booking visit Wilton's web site.
