Guildford Shakespeare Company's Canterbury Tales

Inspired by their new version of Chaucer's classic, Guildford Shakespeare Company is presenting a range of events as autumn entertainment.

  • Tales and Ales, Wednesday 8 October 7 to 8:30PM at The Keystone Pub (free). Share your own writing, have it read by professional actors, or simply listen with a drink.
  • From Chivalry to Flatulence, Friday 17 October 7:30PM at St Mary's Church (£4). GSC's Matt Pinches discusses the life of Chaucer and the continuing popularity of the Tales.
  • Guildford Tales, Tuesday 28 to Wednesday 29 October, 10AM to 5PM (£60, including matinée ticket). Young actors' two-day workshop for 10- to 17-year-olds, creating and performing their own tales.
  • Puppetry workshop for 6+, Thursday 30 October 10AM to 5PM (£30). Design, make and perform your own puppet show.

Full details of all events are on the Guildford Shakespeare Company web site.

The GSC production of The Canterbury Tales runs from 23 October to 8 November.
