Spring Reign

Benedict Power Productions stages Spring Reign at The Lowry on May 19.

Written by award-winning playwright Rob Johnston, (War Stories 2014) the play focuses on the experiences of an ordinary Syrian family as their country descends into war.

Based on first-hand accounts and using front-line photography, an original score and live performance, Spring Reign brings this most important of human stories to life, shining a light on the on-going conflict in Syria and the humanitarian crisis that has ensued.

Also in attendance will be a number of people who have been pivotal in the development of the work—Syrian refugees, aid workers and journalists—and this discussion will be a chance to hear their voices and give audience members a chance to learn more about Syria and the plight of its people.
