Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre will be staging a relaxed performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Friday 12 December.

Relaxed performances are open to everyone, but the environment has been specifically adapted for families with children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, individuals with sensory and communication disorders, those with learning disabilities and anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.

The relaxed performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be adapted in a variety of ways in order to reduce anxiety and ensure a safe and enjoyable live theatre experience—the overall content of the show will not change.

There will be a relaxed attitude to noise, the lights in the auditorium will remain on low throughout the show, sudden loud noises will be softened and audience members are free to leave and to re-enter the auditorium at any point.

The theatre will also have additional staff on hand to assist with seating and access around the building and there will be a Chill-Out Room, a space that is made available for audience members who need a bit of quiet time before and during the performance.

Bookings for the relaxed performance can only be made over the phone or in person so that the theatre can establish whether you would like to book a complimentary familiarisation tour prior to your visit.

The show runs from Friday 5 December 2014 until Saturday 4 January 2015.
