Particles by Josh Coates - part of the inaugural Plymouth Fringe Festival

The programme for the inaugural Plymouth Fringe Festival has been announced.

Amongst the highlights are Ovalhouse and Arch 468’s Cuddles, IdeasTap Underbelly Award-winner Toby Peach with The Eulogy of Toby Peach, Josh Coates’s Particles and Infinity Pool's reworking of Madame Bovary by Bea Roberts.

Celebrating theatre and live performance, Plymouth Fringe Festival is produced by Toast, a new theatre development organisation for the city led by independent theatre-makers Dan Baker, Matt Hall, Tom Nicholas and Beth Shouler.

Baker said, “it’s fantastic to be able to present such a strong programme for the first Plymouth Fringe Festival—one which features shows by some of the UK’s most exciting fringe theatre makers alongside work from an ever-growing pool of talented local artists.

"To be working alongside our partners—who all have a proven track record in supporting innovative theatre and performance—to host a week-long celebration of theatre is something we feel is long-overdue for Plymouth, and represents the increase in high-quality work made and presented here."

Plymouth Fringe Festival takes place in a variety of venues from 25 to 30 May.
