Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to The Lowry, in their 25th anniversary year, with Coppélia from next Wednesday to Saturday.

Following the success of the stage adaptation of Peter James’s The Perfect Murder, an all-star cast will bring the claustrophobically-thrilling Detective Roy Grace story Dead Simple to Manchester Opera House.

Manchester-based literary lunatics, the award-winning Lip Service, return to The Lowry in their 30th anniversary year with The Picture of Doreen Gray.

Art with Heart presents Secret Diaries at The Lowry in Salford as well as The Met in Bury. It’s the story of Hayley, a girl finding her way in the world, and challenges opinions on friendship, love, society, family values and discrimination.

Liverpool’s Lantern Theatre has a selection of performances coming up in the next few months including the return this week of in-house production Broken Biscuits ahead of its Edinburgh Festival première.

The Liverpool Everyman will host this year’s Chinese Spring and Lantern Festival Gala on Tuesday. The gala is organized by Liverpool Chinese Students and Scholars Association and aims to promote Chinese culture.
