Liverpool’s Unity Theatre will this week be previewing several shows due to appear at the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe.

Another of Blackpool Grand Theatre’s summer season of entertainments comes to the resort from Sunday through to August 16. New Jersey Nights is a celebration of the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

The hit musical stage adaptation of the award-winning picture book The Gruffalo comes to Preston Charter Theatre from next Thursday to Saturday.

The Lowry in Salford is bracing itself for the return of the biggest-selling show in its history– as the National Theatre’s UK tour of War Horse arrives back at the venue (hear our podcast interview with the co-director and Joey puppeteers).

Royal Exchange audiences in Manchester get a second chance to see Gareth Farr’s Bruntwood Prize winning play Britannia Waves The Rules when it returns for a short run in The Studio from next Tuesday to Saturday.
