Durham’s Gala Theatre is launching a new scratch night, Next Up, and the first session will take place on Tuesday 28 June at 7:30 in the theatre’s Studio.
To take part:
- Applicants must be based in the North of England
- Work can be stand-alone or an excerpts from a longer piece
- Performed excerpts should be no longer than 20 minutes
- All actors / performers must be provided by the participating company / artist / writer
- The performance should be possible to stage with minimal props. Sound and lighting requirements must be suitable for performance in a small, studio style space. A short tech of one hour will be scheduled for the afternoon before the performance.
- All applications must be submitted electronically no later than Friday 10 June with selected applicants notified on Monday 13.
