Millionaires Anonymous

Stewart McDonald is writer/director of a new comedy play, Millionaires Anonymous, which, after a successful run at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool last year, is now heading further afield across the North West.

Winning the Lottery is what everyone dreams of, but for some lucky winners their dreams turned into nightmares. Turns out losing a fortune is much easier than winning one.

At Millionaires Anonymous, people are encouraged to discuss their stories and problems and, with the help of a 12-step programme, the former millionaires are guided onto a path of enlightenment and self-fulfilment, learning along the way that money doesn’t buy happiness. Or does it?

It’s at The Brindley Theatre in Runcorn May 10 to 11, The Atkinson Theatre in Southport May 12 to 13, Salford Arts Theatre (part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival) July 1 to 3.
