The Customs House in South Shields has announced its May to August 2016 programme. Theatrical highlights are:
- 3 – 4 May: Baby Love by Tom Kelly, in the Studio
- 10 May: Going Viral by Daniel Bye. An ARC Stockton production in Daltons
- 19 May: Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Cranked Anvil production
- 22 May: Pinocchio, Ballet Theatre UK at 4PM
- 5 June: Don’t Dribble on the Dragon, The People’s Theatre Company, with magic designed by Paul Daniels, at 2:30PM
- 5 – 7 June: Wave, Tell Tale Heart, based on The Tempest, a multi-sensory play for young people (age 11+) with profound and multiple learning disabilities, various times
- 8 June: Made Up, Stan’s Café, in the Studio
- 15 June: Petrification by Zoe Cooper, Telltale in association with LittleMighty, In Dalton’s
- 24 & 25 June: The Big Goodbye by Wayne Miller, Made 4 Stage, in the Studio
- 9 July: Black Is the Colour of My Voice, Seabright Productions, one-woman show inspired by the life of Nina Simone
- 21 July: Dinosaur Park (The Jurassic Parody), James Seabright and Superbolt Theatre, for age 8+, at 6PM
- 25 – 27 July: The Railway Children, Talking Scarlet, Various times
- 24 August – 3 September: The Dolly Mixtures, book & lyrics by Tom Kelly, music by John Miles, a Customs House production
