Homecoming delayed again
The new production of Pinter's The Homecoming starring Ian Holm has suffered yet another delay. Last week a six day delay was announced because Holm was recovering from a minor operation and now another delay has been announced. The play will now open on 25th September, previews from 22nd.

Buffalo renamed
Ken Ludwig's Moon over Buffalo, his new comedy starring Joan Collins which is due to preview at the Young Vic on 9th October, has been renamed Over the Moon because it was felt that British audiences would not understand the title and think that the word Buffalo referred to the animal!

Cotton Fields to tour
The Actors Company production of In the Solitude of Cottom Fields, due to open at the Aldwych tube station on 21st September, is to tour to Glasgow, Poole, Brighton, Barnet, Wolverhampton, Bradford, Bedford, Frome and The Other Place, Stratford.

Cannibal at Union Street
The Union Street Theatre is to present Richard Crowe and Richard Zajdlic's new play Cannibal from 25th September to 13th October. This gritty drama's script is raw and uncompromising and gives the audience a voyeuristic and sometimes uncomfortable view of a war where there can be no winner.

Barker's House on tour
Howard Barker's Wrestling School company is to tour his latest play, The House of Correction, from 27th September. The production, which is directed by Barker himself, opens at Brighton's Gardner Centre and then goes on to the Riverside (London), Huddersfield, Liverpool, Plymouth and Sheffield.

New TV series for Glenister and Collins
Michelle Collins and Philip Glenister are to star in a new police series for ITV. Each episode (they hope to make four a year) will be self-contained and ninety minutes long. Collins will play the senior police officer and there will, we are told, be sexual chemistry between the two, of the same sort as in Moonlighting and The X Files.
