Nicole Kidman will lead the cast of the première of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51 produced by the Michael Grandage Company, which runs at the Noël Coward Theatre from 5 September to 21 November.
Kidman will play Rosalind Franklin with Will Attenborough and Edward Bennett as fellow DNA pioneers James Watson and Francis Crick, Stephen Campbell Moore as Maurice Wilkins, Patrick Kennedy as Don Caspar and Joshua Silver as Ray Gosling.
Does Rosalind Franklin know how precious her photograph is? In the race to unlock the secret of life it could be the one to hold the key. With rival scientists looking everywhere for the answer, who will be first to see it and more importantly, understand it?
The production will be directed by Michael Grandage with set and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Neil Austin and music and sound design by Adam Cork.
A quarter of the tickets for the entire run will be offered at £10 including booking fee and restoration levy.
