Homeless drama goes outdoors

A theatre company of homeless people has a dramatic reason to venture outdoors this summer.

Alternative Outcomes, a theatre company formed in 2013 by a group who use Lancaster District Homeless Action Service, will perform Twisted, its own version of Oliver Twist, in Williamson Park.

They have been inspired by The Dukes’ theatre’s own walkabout production of Oliver Twist presented in the park to August 15.

Twisted will be a modern version and follows the adventures of Oliver who runs away from home and finds himself sleeping rough in Williamson Park where he is ‘befriended’ by a gang addicted to drink and drugs.
