High Flying R&J at Young Vic

In October audiences at the Young Vic will see yet another "different" interpretation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Icelandic company Vesturport, which is directed by former gymnastics champion Gísli Örn Gardarsson, will present the play using circus and acrobatic skills. Gardarsson plays Romeo and his wife, Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir, plays Juliet.

The production was orginally seen at Reykjavik’s City Theatre. It opens on 1st October (previews from 26th September) and is booking until 25th October.
