Derwent Brass, “one of the most successful” bands in the East Midlands, is to be an integral part of Derby Theatre’s autumn production of Brassed Off.
Members of Derwent Brass will perform during each performance of Paul Allen’s stage adaptation of Mark Herman’s film.
Derby Theatre’s artistic director Sarah Brigham said, “I’ve heard so many great things about Derwent Brass and I know how incredibly popular they are with audiences of all ages.
“Their involvement, skills and expertise will be a huge asset to the success of the production and we all look forward to working alongside them and welcoming them to Derby Theatre.”
The band’s musical director Keith Leonard added, “Derwent Brass is thrilled to be involved with this production. Brassed Off has become a much-loved British institution and we’re very much looking forward to working with Derby Theatre and being part of the show.”
Brassed Off runs at Derby Theatre from Friday 18 September until Saturday 10 October.
