David Suchet drags up for Noble Lady Bracknell

It has been announced that David Suchet will star as Lady Bracknell in Adrian Noble's new production of The Importance Of Being Earnest.

David Suchet has had a long career on stage, screen and television. His recent West End credits include Long Day’s Journey Into Night and All My Sons (Best Actor What’sOnStage.com Awards, Evening Standard Theatre Awards nomination and Olivier Award nomination) and Complicit at The Old Vic.

Best known as Agatha Christie’s Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, Suchet's other television work has earned him a Best Actor International Emmy Award as well as a BAFTA nomination for Anthony Trollope’s The Way We Live Now. He was awarded the CBE in 2010.

The Importance Of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde starts previewing on 24 June next year following a short UK tour. No venue and no other casting has been announced.

Tickets are not on sale for this production but it is possible to subscribe to mailings for information as it becomes available via The Importance Of Being Earnest web site.
