Altar Boyz will have its UK première at Greenwich Theatre

Award-winning musical comedy and Off-Broadwa hit Altar Boyz will have its UK première this autumn at Greenwich Theatre.

Telling the story of a fictitious boy-band on the last night of their Raise the Praise tour, will the pious pop act of the all-singing, all-dancing heartthrobs find success in New York?

Altar Boyz is conceived by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport. It has a book by Kevin Del Aguila, and music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker. It will be directed by Steven Dexter, whose credits include Loserville in the West End and the world première of Stiles and Drewe's Honk!.

Altar Boyz will play a limited run from 3 to 18 October.
