Big Telly Theatre Company
A company which tours Northern Ireland and makes use of circus skills, music, puppetry and other such features. Background info, past and future productions, contacts. The Bulletin Board is not an interactive BBS but a page for the latest info.

A brief biography, photos, the works (a list of his own work
and of books about him) and sounds - six recordings, mainly of him
singing.
Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick
Lots of information here about events in various art forms and the Centre's full programme, which is varied and enjoyable.

There are two versions of this site, one with and one without frames. It contains a lot of pictures, a very, very, very (!) brief biography, a filmography and a BBS. There is also a selection of reviews of his films, but all are off-site.
Gabriel Byrne - Flying Below Radar
The inevitable filmography, articles and books by and about Byrne, audio clips, photos, news of current projects and a motley collection of facts about him.

The latest news, a filmography, how to contact him, and an interview.
Charabanc Theatre Company
An all-woman theatre company, based in Belfast, which has now closed
down after twelve years and 21 productions. The site is still there,
though, and it makes interesting reading.
City Theatre Dublin
Formerly the Machine Theatre Company. The site has a history of the
City Theatre, a technical outline, details of productions, a "what's
on now" page and the very comprehensive Irish Theatre Resource
collection of links to theatre-related websites throughout Ireland.
Liam Cunningham (Falling for an Actor)
A biography (which includes some interviews), details of film, stage and TV work, a BBS and news. All the ingredients you would expect to find.
Sinead
Cusack
A nicely designed site. The News section refers to the site, not to
Ms Cusack. Then there are no less than three biographies; a section
devoted to her work, with most appearances having their own page;
a gallery of photos and posters, plus on video clip; a collection
of articles, mainly reviews; and a list of her awards.
Down Arts Centre (NI)
Events listing, details of facilities, news and press, and details
about the Centre.
2nd Dublin International Theatre Symposium
This was held in January 1997: six days of talks, workshops, demonstrations and performances by eight theatre companies from Poland, Norway, Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden, and - of course - Ireland.
The Dublin Theatre Festival
There is a FAQ and a list of venues at the moment.
Galway Arts Festival '97
A most impressive arts festival.

Gateway Theatre
An amateur company based in Portadown, Northern Ireland and founded
in 1964. Three pages: history, past and forthcoming productions.
Ireland Stories
A site devoted to new Irish writing in many genres. Of most interest
to theatrelovers is King Gubu, a new translation of Jarry's
Ubu Roi, which sets it in Ireland. It's hilarious! Be aware,
however, that it is the full play and therefore takes a long time
to download, although a .pdf version is available.
Irish Theatre Archive
The Archive's aim is to "promote an appreciation of the theatrical history of Ireland". Aims and objectives, the history of the project and how to become a member are all featured. It's basically just an advert. Why not put some of the historical material online?
Irish Theatre Resource
The starting point (apart from here, of course!) for an exploration of Irish Theatre. Lists of venues, companies, organisations, and so on, plus a section on Dance and a What's On. An essential site.
Lambert Puppet Theatre
One page, giving a brief history of the theatre, details of its touring and what they do and how they do it!
Leixlip Theatre Group
An amateur group, based in Leinster. Two pages: one long one containing most of the information, and one with photographs of their most recent production, plus a link to a virtual tour of the town (which is quite interesting). They do a theatrical pub crawl, doing a different one-act play in four pubs in the town. What a nice idea!
Lyric Theatre, Belfast
Everything you would expect to find, including online booking (with seating plan), details of its current season, technical and accessibility details, and the theatre's history.
Martin McDonagh
A page about a radio production of his first radio play, The Tale of the Wolf and the Woodcutter.
Machine Theatre Company
Based in Dublin. Now the City Theatre Dublin - see further up this
page.
Macnas
A community-based arts and theatre company in Galway. Its theatre
work includes The Celtic Trilogy which looks absolutely fascinating.
