A Festival of Korean Dance will be receiving its Scottish première before it returns to London for its seventh year.

The shows "take in the joys of soaring, explore the impact of social media and focus on presenting traditional Asian values and stories in contemporary ways."

The Festival will open at Tramway, Glasgow on 16 May with a double bill of Tomorrowisnowtodayisyesterday by Sung Im Her and Flight by Melancholy Dance Company, before touring to Dance City (18 May), The Place (22 May) and Pavilion Dance South West (24 May).

Also in the festival are Burnt Offering by 99Artcompany and Cheok by Ae-soon Ahn, the former Artistic Director of Korea National Dance Company, making her UK debut.

All shows will be performed at The Place, London; other venues include Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth, Dance City in Newcastle and The Lowry in Salford. The festival runs until 4 June 2024.
